Superman - Action Comics

Solicitations are out so I guess this is official now: The New Super-Man art team is gonna move over to the mother (some would say grandmother) of all superhero books - ACTION COMICS.

Needless to say, I nearly fell off my drawing chair when I got the call from DC. But I kept my cool, of course. Can't start screaming like a little girl in those situations.

Unfortunately, this also means I'll have to leave New Super-Man and that wasn't an easy decision at all, because I really loved working with Gene Yang on this series. It's very rare in mainstream comics that you get the chance to participate in the creation of a new title and character from the ground up. With all the freedom we had to go nuts, this almost felt like working on a creator owned book again and I'm really proud of the work we've done. Good news is: I still have one more issue coming out and it's once again the best we've done, so do yourself a favor and pick it up in a couple of days. You won't regret it.
In the meantime I'll be working my butt off on Action Comics with the great Jonathan Glapion and the super talented Mike Spicer backing me up, so I hope you'll enjoy our work on that title.

And to shorten the wait: Here's a piece I colored up this morning. Just for fun.
